Jethro Patalinghug is a producer, director, and documentary filmmaker based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His short My Revolutionary Mother premiered at CAAM Fest 2014 and Cinemalaya 2015, won Best Documentary Short at the Boston Asian American Film Festival 2015, and is available on Amazon. His feature 50 Years of Fabulous was an official selection at Frameline 38, the opening film at QDocs 2018, screened at 20+ festivals, and is available on PBS and JustWatch. His in-development feature The Long Rescue, premiering in 2027, has been a fellow at IDFA Producers Connection, Gotham Week, and FIFDH Impact Days (2024); at DOC NYC Storytelling Incubator and Film Independent's CNN Docu-Series Intensive (2022); and won at Chicago Pitch and Movies That Matter (2021). He was a 2016 BAVC National MediaMaker Fellow for #MyNameIs. His corporate work includes films for Google, IBM/Bluewolf, CSAA, and NextGen Climate.

Jethro began his career in Philippine broadcast television, producing for MTV Philippines, GMA 7, ABC 5, QTV 11, and MYX 23. He moved to the United States in the mid-2010s, where he has since produced strategic video for Google, Bluewolf/IBM, CSAA Insurance Group, and NextGen Climate — and between 2016 and 2019 produced, shot, and edited 25 mini shorts for SF Pride. His documentary work spans the short My Revolutionary Mother (CAAM Fest 2014; Cinemalaya 2015; Best Documentary Short, Boston Asian American Film Festival 2015; Pinoy Rebyu best-of-year 2015; on Amazon), the feature 50 Years of Fabulous (official selection, Frameline 38; opening film, QDocs 2018; 20+ festivals; PBS; JustWatch; Frameline educational distribution), and the in-development feature The Long Rescue — premiering in 2027, a fellow at IDFA Producers Connection, Gotham Week, and FIFDH Impact Days (2024); at DOC NYC Storytelling Incubator and Film Independent's CNN Docu-Series Intensive (2022); and winner at Chicago Pitch and Movies That Matter (2021).
